Being elected Captain by your Expedition Mates is a huge honor. More than that, you are now in command of the Pirate Master vessel. The benefits of the position are as follows:

• The crew must follow the Captain's orders.

• Half of the treasure found instead of a shared portion of 25%
• Choosing 2 trusted officers
  • The officers will always compete on the Captain's team. If the Captain chooses members that are a boon on expeditions, he will have their assistance on all expeditions.
    
• Captain's Quarters instead of sleeping with the crew.
• Choosing 3 pirates to receive the Black Spot

• Is not at risk at Pirate's Court.
  • The only way the Captain can be cut adrift is if the entire crew (not including the three marked pirates or the officers) band together and vote mutiny at pirates court.
• If the vote at a Pirate's Court is a tie, the Captain chooses which Pirate to cut adrift.
