Early Life:Avery Began his career at sea by serving midshipman in the Royal Navy.


How he became a pirate:On May 7 1694 Avery & his fellow mutineers took over the Charles(ship). Avery was reported to have said "I am a man of Fourtane & must seek my Fortune". Thus becoming the new Captain.


His main territory:Sailing Africas west coast & Islands of Cape Verde & Guinea Coast. Sailed around The Cape of Good hope .....The Madagascar and sevearl other ports around the red sea.


Famous/Infamous for:Plunders 3 English ships stealing thier gold & clapping the natives into irons. Attacked 2 Danish ships stealing a new vessal. He joined up with a few other pirates and they plundered the Fath Mahmamaddi steeling her cargo of 50,000-60,000 pounds of gold and silver.

Finally met his end:Now wealthy men Avery and his crew decided to head West to the indies....Avery gave the govenor 1000 pounds of ivory tusks plus the vessal the Fancy thus he and his crew disbanded and took diffrent names.


Biggest myths: Averys exploits made him a legend and no myth....he was succesful but he also escaped punishment from his crime......The fantasy of all seamen.
