Cameron Daddo then told the pirates that only the crew who finds the gold first would be able to keep it. Both crews received a map and a compass. The black crew took a big lead and found the second map first and also earned the right to sabotage the red crew by using a sword to place a net that would force the red crew to find a way to get around it before continuing. With the red crew blocked, the black crew gained just enough time to find the treasure which they would later find out was worth $40,000. [See also Pirate Master: Strategies]

The black crew elected Joe Don as their captain who received $20,000. Joe Don chose Cheryl and Ben to serve as his 2 officers. They both recieved $5,000. The remaining pirates of the black crew received only $2,000 each. Joe Don, Cheryl, and Ben then marked Louie, John, and Joy with a black spot. The 3 blackmarked pirates as well as Captain Joe Don each got a chance to defend themselves. It was then time for the pirates to vote for either one of the 3 blackmarked pirates or a mutiny. In the end, the pirates unanimously cut adrift John.

Spyne Episode One Commentary 0 Jun 5 2007, 5:45 PM EDT by Spyne

Hey everybody, name's Spyne and I'm here to give my personal commentary on every episode of Pirate Master! You may recognize me from the Survivor: Fiji and Amazing Race: All-Stars wikis. I have also been on the Survivor: Fiji message boards and the new message boards for Pirate Master now, under the name "SpyneEchidna". By the way, I'm sorry for my late reply to this first episode, I've been pretty busy lately.

Pirate Master has the potential to be an interesting show. I thought it was going to be just a Survivor clone, it does have it's similarities but it has enough differences to make it a little different from Survivor. This cast and the host are also interesting, Louie is my favorite contestant so far just because he's pure entertainment to watch.

It seemed right from the beginning John has been an outcast and seems he just wasn't able to break out of it. Also, it seems that since Joe Don became the captain, be gained a new level or arrogance which could be a bad thing for him in the future if he's not careful.

John had an interesting strategy by having the compasses and using that to get the rest of the crew to Mutiny, but it ended up not amounting to anything as he was the first to be cut adrift. Interesting first episode to say the least, and next week looks to be good, see you then!

Kinjit John sure of himself? 3 Jun 4 2007, 9:49 AM EDT by Kinjit

John came of as arrogant. If you do something good for the group fine but you do not need to let everyone know about it. If you are sure of yourself, you do not need to advertise it. John did not do this as was apparent with the comment “I won the whole thing for you guys” when he rejoined the Crew. Don’t forget the Black Team had to select a Captain John thought he should be captain. When the Black team elected JD, John came off as a hurt child, is this sign of being sure of oneself? If JD dosent let his Ego get in the way he could go far as captain.
