Jay's Bio

Born and raised in Detroit, Jay Hatkow has worked in the auto industry his entire life. His father is a union representative and when Jay graduated high school he began work as an auto-line assembler. He has also worked as a marketing manager and manufacturing engineer. Taking advantage of the car company's college tuition program, he enrolled in community college and then transferred, eventually receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. He currently sells equipment for engine and powertrain test cells.
