John's Bio

John Lakness studied physics while an Air Force cadet at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. He joined the elite Quantum Electronics Group at MIT while taking classes there and received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the most respected engineering school in the country. A scientist by day, John is a Chippendale Dancer by night. He is also a former wrestling coach. Lakness refuses to drive and instead takes his bike everywhere, including the 11-mile journey to and from work every day. He also prefers riding horses bareback. His hobbies include triathlons, weight training, learning new, amazing things and as he puts it, "hacking, cracking and anarchy.” If he wins PIRATE MASTER, his first selfish purchase will be a billboard in the runner-up's hometown.
