My family too was amazed to find this show taken off the air. I understand the sadness of why but I do hope that they will continue with another Pirate Master next year. Do it in memory of Cheryl.

I watched the entire season on the computer. I work straight afternoons so I just love the opportunity to be able to watch the evening shows like everyone else. I thought this was one of the best reality shows out there, I could not wait till the next show to see who was going to get the boot. I hope they do this show again.

I think I have found out why they took my favorite show off the air just as it was getting good. It's sad news but I'm afraid it's true. I'm sure everyone remembers Cheryl well about 2 weeks ago she committed suicide by hanging herself. They said she was deeply depressed because her boyfriend has used her gun to kill himself sometime in the middle of July so around the end of July she took her own life. I'm guess this is why they took it off the air, because it sure can't be because no-one was watching it because from the looks of all the pissed off viewers there was a whole bunch of people watching it. I know this was a tragic event but they should of at least finished the season because you know the episodes have been filmed in advance of this event and I'm sure she would of wanted it to run it's course. I hope this sheds some light on why it's not on TV anymore.

It's hard enough to watch channels like these in the first place. CBS just made it impossible to stomach them, so it's back to History and Discovery for me.

what we should do is boycott cbs for this mutiny, it is unbelievable, someone must be looking at their lower intestines by now. it's like when they cancelled "Surface" they had you hooked and then WHAM no second season to find out how to kill the creatures....but back to the boycott I will start. They should change from CBS to POS. L8TR

I WAS WONDERING WHY THIS SHOW HAS NOT BEEN ON IN 2 WEEKS EVEN THOUGH IT'S LISTED IN THE TV GUIDE BUT I JUST READ THE COMMENTS BELOW AND SEEN IT HAS BEEN TAKEN OFF!!! I CAN'T BELEIVE THEY TOOK IT OFF THE AIR RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.THEY COULD HAVE FINISHED IT OUT AFTER I GOT INTO IT THEY TAKE IT OFF THE AIR??

John didn't mean to lose the key, but he didn't try that hard to secure it, either. It dropped off his waist as soon as he started moving.
He was out so quickly, I don't think it affected him as much as the rest of the ghosts, especially Joe Don, who had most recently been cut adrift. I felt horrible, watching the Ghosts try to find the key, because they had been so far ahead, with Azmyth's abysmal compass reading. But I didn't feel very bad for John. He should have known better than to pay so little care for the item that would make or break the ghosts' comeback.

Well, many of you have made lots of comments of for the thinking about why CBS took the show off the air but, none of the comments were true reasons why they took it off the air. Most of the comments that you have placed are true comments but, that's not the reason why they took it off the air. What happened was in Week 8, I belive, that's when the pirates had to go against the ghost pirates, when John lost the key. To make a long story short, John filed a lawsuit against CBS because, of the key situation. He believes that it's CBS's fault for him losing the key. Well, he filed this lawsuit because, the Ghost Pirates were in the lead big time until that key was loss. He thinks CBS should have provided something to secure the key just in case a sitaution like that happned. Well, this lawsuit is suppose to be huge and that's the reason it was took off the air. If you want to view all episodes, you have to wait until I think it's the end of August for the show to return or view them on the internet. The show will return but, you may see some changes in it caused from this lawsuit and if you keep up with the lawsuit, I am sure that everyone on the is going to be compensated in some form other than the big jackpot. I sure hope that this sheds some light on the sitaution for everyone. I am waiting on the next casting call because, I believe that would be something fun to do and be on. Hope everyone enjoys the show and you will continue watching it. I know it will be back soon and it will continue because, it's just like survivor in a way.

As of July 27,2007 Pirate Master contestant Cheryl Kosewicz died of an apparent suicide in Sparks Nev. so say Entertanment Weekly no.947 Aug.10 2007.........stress too much for her or cbs did'nt do mental back ground checks like they for their other shows

yourshowsucks, guy was right. Do not worry this show getting canceled anyways. They voted off the guy that found the treasure while everyone was standing there like a bunch of idiots for 10 minutes. Use your brain! John found it in 10 seconds. They voted off the smartest person there (hacker/scientist) real smart.
A ripoff of survivor if you will but more boring. CBS makes a lot of poor choices. They cancel Jericho and bring in this crap? SHOW CANCELED 1. No body watching 2. Rip off from Survivor 3. Poor Story/Poor Ratings 4. Tries to gain viewers by releasing less than a week after Pirates 3: At World End 5. Jericho's Revenge!

Sometimes i don't understand why ya'll put other shows like Big brothers on the air, there other shows out there i would'nt even want my kid to watch... WE ALL SAT DOWN AS A FAMILY AND WATCH PIRATE MASTERS, WE LOVED THE SHOW. THEN YA'LL JUST TAKE IT OFF THE AIR. WHAT IN THE WORLD MADE YA'LL DO THAT. I THINK IF YA'LL DID THAT TO SURVIVOR OR CSI I WOULD NEVER WATCH YOUR CHANNEL AGAIN! i just had to come in here and say that i hated what you did. thats all i wanted to say. right now ya'll took a family show off the air!!! *Ahoy Mateys*, NO *booty ahead*. cbs (I refuse to capitalize this station now) capsizes nationwide with the cancellation of the Most Entertaining PIRATE MASTERS. *Avast - Avaste Ye!* (hold fast, stop & pay attention) how is it that the Suits can cast a *Black Spot* (death threat) in the stinking MIDDLE of the season??!! We have been *cut adrift* ! Americans have been *Horswaggled* (defrauded, cheated). Have they been gargling the rum? (rinse, swallow, repeat) due to hallucinatory *having the Davies*? (to be frightened) They decided to pull the plug and sink 'er just as word was getting out about the show, the inundation of Viewers was developing (and developing well). Are they acutely nearsighted? I believe *Davey Jones Locker* (a place at the bottom of the sea that holds dead sailors) awaits the so-called decison-makers since we Americans have the liberty to declare mutiny on cbs. (Contract Breaking Sharks)
