Pirate Master of course!
Aug 17 2007, 5:27 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 17 2007, 5:27 PM EDT
I have just read many of the comments sent in by other viewers and had quite a good chuckle at what they had to say although it really isn't funny what CBS did by pulling Pirate Master. However, I am one of the fortunate ones that can view it on my computer although I don't like doing this and would much rather be sitting in my recliner watching my big screen. So for me the bottom line is, why did CBS pull the show? We are all quite miffed by this action, but I think the execs owe us the decency of an explanation whatever the reason is. I am also in agreement with the viewers who dislike Big Brother. Can you believe there have been 8 seasons of this crap? I watch a lot of daytime CBS, but there is nothing keeping me as a viewer for the evening. I guess I'll be going to Blockbuter or Netflix for my entertainment. Sorry, CBS. You messed up big time, this time. 21  out of 24 found this valuable. Do you?

I liked the show but money talks and if you aren't getting the ratings for a show it loses money for the business. CBS doesn't owe anyone an explanation and if you just did a quick search online you could easily find out that the show was canceled in 2 minutes. What did you want them to mail you a letter or knock on your door and tell you personally? That's what's wrong w/ us as a country, too freaking lazy to put down the bon bons and get off the freaking couch and find out what's up with the show. This is 2007 EVERYONE should have access to the internet. There were a lot of problems with the show, the first being a 10 minute recap of the previous show every episode, who wants to see that much of a freakin recap, it was like watching the episode all over again?? Give a quick 30 second recap, I usually just turned the show back on 15 minutes later since that's about when the actual episode started. It was an entertaining show but if you think about it, it's really kind of a silly show, what's next a Ninja reality show? I found it more surprising that an excellent show like Black Donnellys was canceled on NBC but this show had CANCEL ME written on it's forehead from episode 1 and I think most of us could have seen that coming. The whole world isn't obsessed w/ pirates, it's just trendy to like them these days.

Evidently you haven't read the many emails who voiced their disgruntled opinion about the show's cancellation and I am not the only one who was looking for an answer. FYI, I did look on the internet and found the show, but I still don't like sitting in front of my computer to watch it. Since CBS was so quick to put the show on the internet, why didn't they also explain why they had to do what they did? A simple, "It was not an economical venture", would have sufficed. Was I waiting for a personal reply? That statement is absured! And how dare you insinuate that the people who weren't quick to find an answer are no more than couch potatoes eating bon-bons. Who are you? The Moral Majority leader or just an intellectual snob. Just because it is 2007 doesn't mean that everyone is wealthy enough to own a computer or have internet access. I don't give a rats rear about how much money the networks do or do not make. If you want to talk economics, why don't you target the government and ask them why there are so many unsheltered, homeless and starving people in a country that is supposed to be so prosperous? Also, the ten minute recap is no different than any other reality show. Maybe these types of shows are just not your bag. As for cancelling the Black Donnellys, wasn't that the show about the Irish mafia. Yeh, violence and sex is just what I want sit down with the family and watch. Pirate Master may not have been great, but it was entertaining for all ages. I'm sorry you just can't share other people's opinion without being critical. All I can say is " Have a nice day"!

I fail to see what this has to do w/ Pirate Master, obviously the homeless won't be watching the show! They made decisions in one way or another that led them to where they are, it's no ones fault but their own, I have no pity for em. So quit yer crying, CBS doesn't care about you or Pirate Master!!

LADYBIRD, YOUR SO RIGHT ABOUT PIRATE MASTER BEING A GREAT SHOW I HOPE SO MUCH THEY BRING PIRATE MASTER BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON EVEN IF I HAVE TO WATCH IT ON THE COMPUTER. HOW COULD THEY PUT BIG BROTHER IN ITS PLACE BIG BROTHER SUUUCKS.
MARK BURNETT PULL SOME SRINGS AND GET PIRATE MASTER BACK SOME HOW, THE ADVENTURE OF PIRATE MASTERS EXPEDITIONS AND THE PAYDAY EACH WEEK OF GOLD IS COOL IN ITSELF, UNLIKE OTHER SHOWS THAT WAIT UNTIL THE END FOR A LUMP SUM THATS NO FUN, ANYWAY THATS MY OPINION SUPPORT PIRATE MASTER ALL THE WAY.

OH, MY GOSH. I can't beleive ANYBODY would say what you just did.

The homeless people of Katrina made decisions in one way or another that led them to where they are, it's no ones fault but their own? The people who put 20 years in a company to lose their jobs from cutbacks and can't find another job but at McDonald's made decisions in one way or another that led them to where they are, it's no ones fault but their own?

You may have no pity on them but I do have pity for you. You must be a young pup that doesn't know any better.

I'm with you ladybird6. CBS could have made a short statement on their website (not personally to each person) as to why they pulled it, even if it may seem obvious.
