PM cancellation

What's a pirate to do? I have read many of the comments from fellow PM followers and I agree with what I read. Yes, it was not fair for CBS to cancel the show in "midstream" and with no explanation as to why. My thoughts are these. When I first read the comment about the death of one of the members on PM, I regarded it as a possible rumor. Now that I have seen the end of the show and saw Cheryl's name in memory of, I now know it was no rumor. If CBS cancelled the show because of poor ratings and the possibility of losing money (heaven forbid), then they should walk the plank. I could care less about ratings, and as for watching the ads of the sponsers, aren't the ads the reason for a popcorn break or a pit stop? I rarely pay attention to them and my feelings have always been, when I want a service or product, I will look for it wherever I can find it. True, without advertising, we may not know a product exists, but that's life! So, back to Cheryl's death. If CBS pulled the show as a courtesy to her family, then I am okay with that. However, with all these comments on the internet and the show being viewed on the internet, why didn't they issue a statement on the internet and sooth the pirates' ire? So many questions, so little time. We can only hope they have heard the cry of the people and bring back another edition of Pirate Master. Take heed me Hearties, there is strength in numbers!!! 8  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

CBS pulled the show four days before Cheryl's death, so this tragedy was not the reason the show was canceled. Dedicating the show to her memory upon it's conclusion was the least they could do.

I agree, they should have never pulled the show so close to it's conclusion. It would not have hurt them that much to conclude the few remaining episodes which were already filmed and "in the bag".
